Vehicle inspections were done regularly by this transit service provider to ensure buses were in good condition for passengers. When a damage was discovered, they had to go through video footages to find when it happened and who to ask for more information.
We built a solution utilising computer vision that scanned entering and exiting bus footage and recognised a damage during a driver’s shift. When a damage was detected, it was raised to an operator for review and further investigation.
The transit service provider saved its resources time from doing physical inspections. Issues were actioned upon as soon as the AI solution detected them, which significantly improved quality assurance performance.
