The challenge

The client had a number of invoices to process that did not include POs. As a result, employees had to manually find and process these invoices in order to assign them to the correct folders.

The solution

The RPA robot created by Blackbook identifies invoices with no purchase order numbers and gathers them from their folders. The necessary data is entered in D365 using the Document Understanding Framework to extract the information from the invoices. The files are attached by the robot with the data and are automated to be moved to the relevant completed folder.

The outcomes

The solution allowed for full-time equivalent reduction as a result of employees no longer having to manually attach data and assign invoices without POs to folders. This also ensured that invoices without POs were tracked accurately.
